I cooked up a STORM!

I have never cooked so much in a day like I did this weekend! J has just turned 1 year old about 2 weeks ago, and it's about time he got on to eating more "real" food. I am very adventurous when it  comes to serving J his food coz he showed signs that he was going to be a great eater from the age of 4 months.

J would always look at us eating at the dining table and smack his lips, as if he wanted to try some too then, so we knew it was time we started him on cereal. Then when he turned 6 months, off went the purees and on to porridge. And the progression continued to pasta when he turned 7 months and it was introducing many different food textures to him from then on...But of course taking into consideration the types of food that are appropriate for various ages.

Since J was progressing so well with his food,  his meals are no longer the same everyday. In order to keep up with what he's eating each day,  I came up with a weekly meal plan which I can follow through on a monthly basis. Hence, in order to fulfil the meal plan, I have to allocate a day in the week to whip up all the food needed for the coming week or 2 and freeze them, ready to serve in minutes! The weekly meal plan is very good coz it helps me to remember what I have to serve for each meal everyday, and it makes my grocery shopping much easier as well.

I sometimes wonder if other babies eat like J and if they do, what is served at lunch & dinner?
